Hey, it’s Abena, the founder of Travelling Tuesdays Trips. After travelling to 50+ countries, I use that experience to shape trips around bucket list moments and well thought out itineraries that go beyond the obvious. At Travelling Tuesdays Trips, we focus on creating women-only group experiences that feel welcoming, inclusive, and easy to step into, whether you’re coming solo or with friends. Expect the kind of experiences you talk about long after the trip ends, from chasing waterfalls in Korea to elephant safaris in Sri Lanka, with plenty of fun, energy, and connection built into every day.
Seven days across South Korea, from Seoul’s palaces to Busan’s coast. Watch the Changing of the Guard at Gyeongbokgung Palace, wander Bukchon Hanok Village in a hanbok, and taste your way through Gwangjang Market with a local guide. Stand at the DMZ and hear directly from a North Korean defector. Then head to Busan for cable cars, markets, and a karaoke night with Abena.
Seven days across Japan, hosted by Travelling Tuesdays. Start in Tokyo with a private sushi making class and an evening at TeamLab Planets, then take the bullet train to Kyoto to walk the red gates of Fushimi Inari before dawn, visit Kiyomizu-dera, and dress in a kimono for a traditional tea ceremony. Wander Gion in search of geisha, cycle through the Arashiyama bamboo forest, and finish in Osaka with a farewell dinner and karaoke with the group. Along the way you'll ride the shinkansen past Mount Fuji, explore centuries-old temples and shrines, and eat your way through some of the best food in the country.
The women on Travelling Tuesdays Trips come from around the world – they’re curious and open minded to new experiences. We’ve had American, British, European, African and Asian travellers on our trips and it’s a great way to make new connections and learn about different ways of life. Whilst the trip is open to all female adults, we find guests are usually in their 20s, 30s or 40s. The trip is great for those with a sense of adventure but also want chill time to soak in the culture.
