Most travellers do need a visa to enter Vietnam, though there are exceptions for certain nationalities for short stays. It is usually easiest to get your visa online before you travel. It’s best to check the specific visa requirements for your country before you travel.

The best time to visit varies by region making it a great option year round. The north is best from October to April, central Vietnam from February to May, and the south from November to April. For our tours we consider the high season from November through to April.
Vietnam is generally safe for travellers, but it’s always wise to take standard precautions when you travel. The benefit of joining our group tours is you will always be accompanied by our knowledgeable and experienced guides, and your other tour guests.
Credit cards are accepted in most hotels, restaurants, and larger stores in major cities. However, cash is preferred in smaller towns and some of the rural areas that we visit on our tours.
English is widely spoken in tourist areas and major cities, but it is less common in rural areas. Our guides will ensure you learn a few basic Vietnamese phrases during your tour to help you along the way.
