Cherry Blossom Season in South Korea

Japan gets all the attention, but South Korea’s cherry blossom season is just as spectacular and a lot less crowded. From late March through mid-April, the blooms move south to north across the country, turning city streets, temple grounds, and coastal paths into something genuinely worth rearranging your trip for.

Jinhae is the standout, one of the largest cherry blossom festivals in Asia, tucked just outside Busan. Our tours take you to Busan, putting you within easy reach of the festival during blossom season.

Seoul’s Yeouido and Gyeongju’s temple grounds deliver the kind of scenery that stops you mid-sentence too, and both are on the route.

South Korea Travel FAQs

Do I need a visa to travel to South Korea?

Many travellers will not need to apply for a visa before travelling to South Korea due to the visa waiver program that allows citizens of several countries to enter South Korea without a visa for tourism purposes.

Seperately to a visa, there is a chance you may need to apply for a K-ETA. This is really important as you will have to have received this prior to departing to South Korea.

Will I need travel insurance?

Travel insurance on all One Life Adventures trips is compulsory. Our group leader will be taking care of you from the moment you arrive, though things can happen which are out of our control. This is why we require everyone who travels with us to have their own travel insurance by the time they depart for the trip. You will have a much more enjoyable trip knowing that you are covered no matter what happens! When you are choosing your insurance policy, it’s important to make sure it covers the following things:

Adventure activities included in the tour
Medical expenses
Personal belongings (in cases of lost luggage or theft)
Missed flights
