FAQs

Before you set out with us on the trip of a lifetime, we want to go over a few things. The Philippines is an amazing country with so much to offer, but like with most Southeast Asian countries things sometimes don’t go according to plan. This is why we may have to slightly alter the itinerary if we need to. One Life is committed to giving you the best possible experience, so if we need to change something we’ll make sure we’ll replace it with something equally awesome!

Do you have an age limit for tours?

We have an age range of 18 – 45 years old for our tours. Most of our guests are aged between 21-35 years old, though this varies to slightly older with certain destinations, and are looking to experience our adventurous “flashpacking” style of travel. Our tours are perfect for people of all different backgrounds to share travel experiences with like-minded conscious fellow travellers.

Where should I fly into/ out of? Are there arrival/departure time requirements?

You would need to fly into Cebu International Airport and out of Caticlan (Boracay) Airport. You can arrive at any time on day 1, though we do have a Welcome Dinner at around 6pm. You can leave at any time on the final day.

Are airport transfers included?

We include an airport pickup on day 1 of the tour, but we do not include an airport drop off at the end of the tour. This can be arranged easily when you are there and your guide can assist you with this.

Can I get picked up from the airport if I arrive before day 1?

Unfortunately we only offer airport pick ups on day 1 of the tour, but we include very easy and straightforward instructions in your welcome pack to help you on getting from the airport to the first hostel.

Can you get private rooms on this tour instead of dorms?

Although we don’t offer a single room upgrade just yet while in the East Philippines adventure, if you are 2 travellers coming together and wish to be roomed together, you can choose the Double/Twin Share option to have your own room together. If you haven’t paid for this at the time of booking later a friend joins and you wish to upgrade to this option, please let us know as soon as possible so we can check availability.

Can I bring a 25kg suitcase?

Please note that we have a 20kg limit on checked luggage on our domestic flight. If you need to add extra at the airport you can do so but it can be very costly. We would recommend bringing a suitcase or backpack that weighs under 20kg.

Can you cater for my dietary requirements on this trip?

Yes, we can cater for most dietary requirements. Please notify us prior to arriving on day 1 so we can arrange this for you.

Can we do the Canyoneering at Kawasan Falls?

Yes, you can! We have allowed you enough time to do the Canyoneering at Kawasan Falls in Cebu on day 3. This is done at your own expense.
