After booking & before your trip - How we prepare you for your trip

You’re all booked! How exciting, we can’t wait to have you on tour with us.

If your tour is 60 days or more away, you have time to get yourself sorted by booking your flights and paying off the balance of your tour, if you haven’t already.

Once your balance is paid off, 60 days before departure, our reservations team will get to work booking all the relevant accommodation, transport and activities for your departure date.

About 30 days before your tour, you will receive an email from our team with everything you need to know before your trip starts such as airport pick up details and your first nights accommodation address.

You’ll also be invited to join our Facebook closed groups to ensure we can start a group chat between you, other guests and your guide.

Travel Advisories

One Life Adventures adheres to government travel advisories from our primary traveller markets when deciding on trip operations in various destinations. Since advisory recommendations can vary based on your location, it’s crucial to refer to your local foreign travel advisory to determine if traveling to a destination is allowed or suitable for you.

Vaccinations & Testing

While vaccinations are not compulsory to take part in our trips, we highly recommend you speak with your GP prior to travelling and follow their advice depending on what destination you are visiting.

Trip Cancellation information

From time to time there may be trip cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances like safety or operational reasons. If your trip is cancelled, we will always ensure we give our customers at least 30-60 days notice. As per our booking Terms & Conditions, if your trip is cancelled we will do our best to find a new tour date to suit you. If we’re not able to find a suitable tour date, we will refund all monies paid over and above the initial deposit price. Your deposit will be retained for use on any new booking in the next 12 months.

If you need to cancel your booking, the Booking Conditions at the time you booked your trip apply.

Insurance information

In order to participate in any of our trips, you must have travel insurance. This is to help you out in case of any event during which you might need some extra assistance. You can get a free travel insurance quote with World Nomads on our Travel Insurance page.

How we monitor safety on our trips

When planning out each tour, our dedicated product team conducts thorough risk assessments for every single element of the journey. From accommodation and transport through to each activity, every detail is assessed to ensure safety is paramount.

Established safety and emergency procedures

We are committed to upholding the highest standards of safety and as such our guides undergo continuous Health & Safety training to stay in line with evolving practices and ensure optimal guest care. We ensure all of our guides are trained in First Aid, CPR, and essential safety protocols, ensuring the highest level of preparedness for any situation.

Safety contact network

We ensure our guides travel with comprehensive local medical clinic contact information and knowledge of an extensive network of varied medical support along the tour route.

Small group travel makes a big difference

We rate travelling in small groups for many reasons, and the most important one is safety. Our travellers receive more personalised attention and clear safety guidance from our tour guides meaning every person is well looked after by our guides and their new travel buddies.

Thoughtfully selected accommodation

We believe in only taking our guests to places we have known and loved ourselves. From twin share to triples, hostels to riads and even guest house or temple stays, rest assured our accommodation is handpicked and safe for all travellers.

Around-the-clock field staff to office staff support

We maintain a dedicated on-the-ground staff to office support system for emergencies and guest health concerns.

Included meals & recommended dining

Food and drink are a significant part of our travels, often driving our desire to explore the world. Ensuring your safety during meal stops is important to us, and we remain committed to selecting dining establishments that uphold high standards of hygiene.

Responsible Travel

Responsible travel is what we’re all about. From protecting the environment and its animals, to educating others and supporting the communities we visit, all of our trips at One Life Adventures are conducted responsibly, and will always be.
